It's raining AT&T Ice Cream Sandwich updates! After AT&T's Samsung Galaxy S II began receiving its Android 4.0 update and today's announcement that the Galaxy Note's ICS bump will be kicking off July 10, now it appears that the Galaxy S II Skyrocket is getting in on the Android 4.0 fun too. Several owners of the device are reporting that they're now able to download the Skyrocket's update to Android 4.0.4 using Samsung's Kies computer software, with the update identifying itself as build UCLF6. Samsung's website also features a page with details on the Skyrocket's Android 4.0 update and steps on how to download Kies and install the new software. That page can be found here.
We've yet to hear an official statement from AT&T or Samsung about the Skyrocket's update, so there are still a lot of details about it that are up in the air. Still, there are more than a few owners that are having success when they fire up Kies and check for the update, so if you've got a Skyrocket laying around it might be worth your time to plug that sucker into your computer. We'll let you know when we hear more about the update from AT&T and Samsung. Until then, why don't you Skyrocket owners try to check for it in Kies and let us know what you find?
