Taking first place in both the People's Choice Chart and Mobile Tech Expert's Chart in PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™, the Samsung Galaxy S III bested the HTC One X to be the #1 phone for week 17. Now that the Samsung Galaxy S III is pulling away from the competition, what will be the phone to oust Samsung's current flagship device?
MT. PLEASANT, SC - PhoneDog Media’s Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) sets the standard for ranking the best and hottest handsets in the mobile marketplace. For the fourth consecutive week, the Samsung Galaxy S III tops the People's Choice Chart. But with 44 points in the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart, the Samsung Galaxy S III is making waves, officially claiming the #1 position in both charts for the first time.
The top positions in the People's Choice Chart remained the same for week 17. The HTC One X trailed the Samsung Galaxy S III by just under 100 votes and the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX came in third, beating the Apple iPhone 4S by just under 40 votes. In the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart, however, the HTC One X dropped not one place, but two places to the #3 spot with 29 points. And, with 37 points, the Apple iPhone 4S jumped back to second place.
“The success of Samsung’s Galaxy S III on PhoneDog’s Official Smartphone Rankings is a direct testament to the features of the device, not to mention the wide availability across four major U.S. carriers. I expect it to continue to do well,” said Aaron Baker, Editor-in-Chief of PhoneDog.
