Verizon's already got a couple of 10.1-inch LTE tablets in its lineup, and it'll be adding 10.1-inch and 8.2-inch models soon, but one thing that its 4G roster is missing is a 7-inch slate. That may be changing soon, as the ZTE Z66 recently passed through the FCC with LTE band 13 (Verizon's preferred band) as well as a 4G LTE logo plastered on its backside. There's not much else about the V66 revealed in the filing, but ZTE has previously announced that the V66 is packing a 7-inch 1280x800 display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4,000mAh battery and Android 3.2 Honeycomb.
As with all FCC filings, the fact that the V66 has graced the agency's halls doesn't necessarily mean that we're going to be seeing it hit store shelves in a short period of time, or at all for that matter, but it's definitely something worth keeping in mind if you're at all interested in picking up a new LTE tablet. And hey, If you need something to occupy your time until we hear more about this little guy, there's plenty of reading material to be found at the FCC link below. Just sayin'.
