We've heard HP CEO Meg Whitman say numerous times that the decision of what to do with webOS is a difficult one and that the company wants to make the "right" choice. Tomorrow we may finally get an answer, though, as the folks at PreCentral are reporting that Meg Whitman has planned an all-hands meeting with HP's webOS unit tomorrow at 10:30 AM PT. The exact purpose of the meeting isn't known, but it's been suggested that she may be ready to announce a decision about what will be done with webOS after former CEO Leo Apotheker's decision to cease work on hardware for the platform.
This actually isn't the first time that Meg Whitman has called an all-hands meeting concerning webOS. One month ago she met with the same team that's gathering tomorrow, but that meeting didn't bring any answers with it, as Whitman simply said that it was important to her to make "the right decision" and that her choice wouldn't come for another three to four weeks. Will tomorrow's meeting produce a similar result? Or will we finally get a decision on the fate of webOS? We'll let you know when we learn more, but in the mean time don't be afraid to place your bets on what you think will happen in the comments below.
