We're still waiting for a non-Nexus device to get bumped up to Android 2.3, but if a new rumor is legit, we won't be waiting much longer. According to Droid-Life, the DROID X's Gingerbread update could begin rolling out as soon as next week, with business users kicking things off at midnight on Sunday.
Last month we saw some purported screenshots of the Gingerbread-powered MOTOBLUR leak out and, while folks seemed torn on whether or not it was an improvement over the BLUR of the past, I'm sure DROID X owners would be happy to get 2.3 no matter which kind of BLUR came with it. We'll keep you updated, DROID fans.
