HTC's Thunderbolt is one of the most frequently leaked devices in recent memory and, while we expect it to be unveiled on Thursday, its actual launch date has still eluded us all. A spat of new accessories for the Thunderbolt has appeared over at Offwire, though, indicating that it could be launching within the next few weeks. A tipster speaking with Droid Life indicated that usually when extras have appeared from Offwire in the past, the device was released 2-3 weeks later. For example, two weeks after DROID Pro accessories showed up on Offwire's virtual shelves, the phone itself was released to the public.
We know that the Thunderbolt is going to be the first 4G handset available on Verizon, meaning that they'll likely want to make it available for purchase shortly after its announced. Adding to the rumor of an imminent release is the fact that the Thunderbolt's SKU is already live in Verizon's systems. Considering how much hype there is surrounding the Thunderbolt, and how much that hype is sure to grow after it's actually unveiled, I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see it launch later this month. Who's excited?
