LG's dual-core Optimus 2X doesn't have an official U.S. launch date just yet, but that doesn't mean we can't pit it against some competing handsets and see how it fares, right? That's just what a video spotted by the folks over at Android Arena does, putting the Optimus 2X and the iPhone 4 in the ring to see who could win a browser-centric slugfest. In the clip, the dual-core Tegra 2 helps to push the Optimus 2X to victory by quite a margin on two different tests.
While this test is neither scientific nor exhaustive, it does provide a good idea of the kind of horsepower we can expect to see in the Optimus 2X when/if it comes to U.S. shores. LG hasn't mentioned plans for an Optimus 2X debut here, but we've heard rumors that it could be arriving on T-Mobile sometime in late February or early March. I wouldn't be surprised to see LG give us more information on the Optimus 2X at CES, including possibly some U.S. launch info, so be sure to keep it locked to PhoneDog for all the latest news!
