Sure, the BlackBerry PlayBook being able to play Flash content is all well and good, but that feature doesn't do us much if we don't actually have the tablet in our hands.  While RIM hasn't given us a solid release date outside of saying that the PlayBook will arrive in "early 2011," the Telecommunication Services of Trinidad & Tobago is more than happy to oblige.  Jay Alvi, Executive Vice President of Enterprise Services for TSTT, said that his carrier will be launching the PlayBook in February 2011.  No pricing info was given.

Considering that RIM said that the PlayBook would be arriving early next year, a lot of people thought that we'd see it arrive around March or so.  Usually you don't see many major electronics launches in January and sometimes into February since many consumers empty their pocketbooks around the holidays, which is why I'm surprised to see that the PlayBook could arrive in the second month of 2011.  Still, tablets are exploding lately (not literally) and BlackBerry users are known to be devoted to their platform, so I'm sure that the demand for the PlayBook is there.  Plus, the February launch date is for Trinidad and Tobago, not the U.S.  We could end up seeing the device stateside later than that, or even earlier.  Either way, it looks like the PlayBook is coming soon, so I hope you've been saving your pennies.

UPDATE: RIM's co-CEO Jim Balsille has been quoted as saying that the PlayBook will launch with a price tag "under" $500.  We don't know if that means that it'll be $247.83, $375.00, or $499.99, but if I were a betting man, I'd go with the latter option.
