In the mood for some fresh news about unannounced BlackBerrys? Good news, friends, because that's exactly what I've got for you. First up is the Storm 3, which we originally heard had been cancelled back at the end of September. Ever since, though, several leaks have shown that the Storm 3 is, in fact, alive and well. We've seen specs and the image that you see above, and now we've got a codename: Monaco. Sure, it may not be pricing or release info, but it's something. In addition, the codename Montana is said to belong to a device described as a Bold with a touchscreen. Previously this 'Berry was referred to as the Magnum, Dakota, or the 9900 model.
We still don't know when the Storm 3 is going to come to market, but at least it looks likely that the device still exists somewhere in RIM's headquarters. As for the touchscreen Bold device, I've got a feeling that it could make quite a splash whenever it's launched. After all, the Bold line of BlackBerrys are the highest-end phones that RIM makes, and combining the portrait QWERTY keyboard of a Bold with a touchscreen and BlackBerry 6 would be pretty slick. The only thing that I'm unsure about is what the screen of the Montana would be like. Would it be a taller like the display on the Torch or wider like the Bold? I feel like a Torch-like screen would be the better choice, but a wider screen could work, too. Which do you think would be the better option?
