Along with corporate stores, T-Mobile customers have several choices when it comes to where they want to purchase a new device: RadioShack, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, etc. Today T-Mobile added another name to that list, as they announced on their Facebook page that they will be partnering with Target stores across the country. Although no firm date was set for when we'll start to see these new Target Mobile centers popping up, T-Mo did say that they would be present in around 850 stores by the end of the year. By mid-2011, most Target stores should feature the new mobile areas.
The ability to get T-Mobile products and services at even more locations is definitely a great move by the carrier. A problem with some "authorized reseller" stores like these, however, is that the store's employees may not be properly trained to explain the intricacies of a new phone or plan, especially compared to T-Mobile's award-winning customer service. Let's hope that Target can properly train their employees and make their stores a good place to purchase T-Mobile's offerings!
