It was almost two months ago that several iTunes accounts were hacked and made to purchase several apps from a certain developer, and now the popular music service is under attack again.  Many users who have their iTunes account linked to PayPal are reporting that their accounts were hacked and charged anywhere between $300 and $4700 for apps, music, and videos.  One customer contacted PayPal about the incident and was told that "a large number of iTunes accounts were compromised."  Neither Apple nor PayPal have commented on the details of the situation, but PayPal has stated that anyone that has had their account hacked would be reimbursed.

News of this attack is somewhat surprising, although many believe it isn't due to a problem with iTunes, but that the victims of the attack fell for an email scam.  If anything, this news is a good reminder to stay away from suspicious emails and to only click on links given to you by someone you know and trust.  Even if the blame in this situation isn't to blame with iTunes, the service is such a big target that I hope Apple has been looking into ways to up security and help prevent fraud like this.  Have any of you had your iTunes and PayPal accounts hacked?
