Back in June, T-Mobile had a promotion where it offered all of its phones for free with a new contract. Beginning September 8th, they'll be doing the same thing for family plans. The folks at TmoNews have gotten word that on September 8th, T-Mobile will begin a promotion called "Kids Are Free Until 2012," which will allow customers to add a line (it doesn't necessarily have to be for a kid) to an existing family plan for the low, low price of $0. The promotion will run until November 2nd and will be available to Even More and Even More Plus subscribers. To be eligible for the free additional lines, customers must switch to the $0 add-a-line family plan. Additionally, subscribers on an Even More plan must extend their contracts two years for each line in the family plan. Finally, the offer is only valid on the 750, 1500, or 3000 minute family plans or the 200 minute unlimited family plan.
This new promotion is definitely a great move for T-Mobile and should definitely garner them some much-deserved attention. It is somewhat disappointing that you have to extend your contracts for two years just to add a free line to your family plan, but if you have several people to add to a family plan, the savings could add up. Now that you'll soon be able to add lines for free, how many of you are considering adding some of your loved ones to your T-Mobile family plan?
