According to the guys over at Phonearena.com we could see the new Samsung ?FlipShot? U900 show up on Verizon's shelves tomorrow (online anyway). I am a little skeptical considering the Voyager is scheduled to be released the same day, but the fact there is an interactive U900 user manual online hosted by Verizon may lend some credence to the claim.
The 3.0 megapixel U900 sets itself apart from its successor the A990 by including an automatic powered lens cover (important feature missing on many camera phones today), incorporates a better flash, adds three Flash UI themes, ups memory capacity by supporting a 4GB microSD card and finally allows MP3 playback.
This phone seems to have slipped under the radar with all of the hype given to the LG Venus and Voyager release. If the $199 with a two year contract pricing is correct, it will be interesting to see how well it performs against the other phones in its class.
