The good: 3 speaker mp3 player is outstanding
The bad: Cingular only has one bar in the 92116 zip code
Summary: Phone is great cigular service is not good. Internet minutes is never up to date, warranty for phone doesn't exist.
The good: don't have to keep track of minutes or text messages
The bad: somewhat expensive to "roam" outside of local area
Summary: I was a comitted Verizon wireless customer for years but I was tired of paying monthly overages. I travel 2 hours to and from work daily and tend to use my cell phone during my commute. I usually had to not call out on certain dates so I wouldn't run out of my daytime minutes. Several months back, one of my co-workers switched carriers to Metro PCS and raved about it. She even got a phone for her teenage daughter to use. I switched the next week and have not been disappointed. The signal is clear and I even have better signal strength in Rockwall than I did with Verizon (which is an outer suburb of Dallas) I love not having to worry if I'll run out of minutes or having to deal with bills that fluctuate monthly. In addition, I use 411 a lot and Metro PCS has a flat unlimited use plan for only $2 extra! This is a great service if you don't travel outside of your local market much.
The good: Speakerphone, clear screen, decent camera, easy to use, the whole thing is fantastic, battery life is good, lots of features, the camera has a lot of features as well.

The bad: I have only found one it has no ring&vib option. Sometimes I find it hard to hear my phone ringing.
Summary: I love the phone. It is every thing I heard and more. The touch pad is remarkably easy to use. I have been playing with it every chance I have and keep finding things I love. Like the funny litle noise it makes when I press the end key. I am also totally loving the speakerphone I have never had a phone with it before so I am always using it. The wallpaper I download looks amazing, the screen is so clear. I would recommend this phone to anybody. The size is good and it isn't heavy. I get great reception but that could be my service provider not the point but great reception either way. I paid 79.99 for the phone, 90 after tax and stuff. Worth every penny. I researched it for 2 weeks and read every review I could find on it and now I know I did the right thing so if you want it research it and make sure it is what you want. For sure an awesome phone so go for it!!
The good: very good camera, graphics and visuals, alot of capabilities included in this phone.
The bad: no video playback, low memory capacity, not to many graphics for the front lcd.
Summary: overall the phone is awesome there is alot of things the phone can do. the photos taken are higher quality than most phones and it also plays music better than some music phones.
The good: Camera (hey, it's a phone, not a camera.)
Colour Screen.
External LCD.
Pretty good variety of features.
Durable.
The bad: User manual not very detailed (have to find some of the short cuts on your own).
Can be a little glitchy sometimes.
Have to do surgery to change face plates.
Summary: My family has had 2 of these phones for over a month and hasn?t really found any problems with the phone itself. I have had a great deal of problems, but they are with Alltel NOT the phone. They were not setup properly when they left Alltel and I?ve had to talk to Alltel technical support several times now (very annoying!).

The only problem I have encountered so far was trying to make a photo into wallpaper and it would restart itself sometimes when I tried. The people at Alltel couldn?t give me an answer, although they did tell me to run an update on the software from my phone (so if you have an old Candid, you might want to check and see if you have the latest software update on your phone). The answer was that the size of pictures I was taking was wrong, when I fixed that I could make my photos into wallpaper with no problems. My husband?s phone hasn?t had any problems or glitches at all.

I?ve read complaints that the Kyocera Candid has no games, but aha, it does! According to the User?s Manual on the Kyocera website it has games, but they may not be available on your phone, check with your service provider. What I discovered is that many service providers remove the games so that you have to pay from them. Not the phone?s fault, just the crappy service providers.

I haven?t had a problem yet with battery life, but since pretty much all batteries develop a memory I?ll keep an eye on it.

Overall I give this phone a good grade; it was good for the price (free) and for what I use it for. I don?t really like to text, so I wasn?t too worried about that feature. I?m also not interested in spending hundreds of dollars on a phone just because it?s ?cool?, it?s a phone, it makes phone call, enough said.
The good: Great service/signal. I was in hudson valley ny and the only one of my friends to get a good signal anywhere and everywhere.
The bad: In-store customer service stinks to no end. They have no clue about anything.
Summary: I moved from Hudson Valley ny and was told that I would have to pay $30 and renew my contract for 2 more years to get a local western pa number. I chose not to. I had my phone stolen and over $200+ in charges appear. I went to the verizon store and told the person my phone was stolen and I needed a new one asap. She told me she couldnt sell me one because I had a "new every two" and that time was not up. I told her I wanted to pay CASH and she said she couldnt do it. I later find out that she never selected on the computer screen that my phone was stolen. The next month when I got my bill and saw the disgusting amount of downloads, I called and asked them why it wasnt reversed since I reported it stolen. They said they couldnt do that and that it was never reported stolen and a new phone was not bought until several days later! I told them I had a full time job and couldnt make it to the stores for a day or two. They asked me "how come I didnt call" (my phone was stolen!) I was charged incredible amounts months after the fact for over usuage charges because I never powered on/off my phone and it didnt know what was the best tower to use... The worst customer service in the world!
The good: My experience with Sprint is that they have very good phones, but that their coverage is spotty, at least in the Northeast, and in rural areas.
The bad: Spotty coverage in the Northeast, especially in rural areas. Somewhat indifferent customer service.
Summary: I left Sprint a few years ago and switched to Verizon, mostly because my partner was with Verizon and we could get free in-network calling. My experience with Sprint was that they had good phones, and good coverage in metropolitan areas, but not so good coverage in suburban and rural areas. In Massachusetts, their coverage west of 495 was pretty spotty. Customer service was also, for my tastes, a little indifferent.
The good: Verizon has, in my experience, the best coverage in the Northeast. Customer service has generally been good, although at times one gets conflicting information from different customer service staff.
The bad: There are some dropped calls in known problem areas. In the Boston area, there are predictable problems on Route 2, in Brookline, in the Tip O'Neill tunnel, etc. Verizon costs are a little higher than some competing carriers. Also, there are still large areas of Maine, NH and VT with no coverage.
Summary: In general, Verizon seems to have the best coverage in the Northeast, with generally good customer service. Prices are a little higher than other plans, but the in-network option is good (especially with such a large customer base in the Northeast). Had Sprint before, which wasn't a bad service, but had more holes in their coverage than Verizon.
The good: Metro has a good selection of phones and plans that are affordable no matter what walk of life you are from. Unlimited local and long distance for a SET monthly fee.
The bad: Service is not available in many parts of Florida and the U.S. They are improving their range, but coverage is definitely limited.
Summary: This is the best plan for anyone who does not travel outside of the state often. For a cell phone text message warrior, Metro PCS cannot be beat.
The good: Sleak, easy to use (except 1-touch dialing)
The bad: Owners manual can be a bit vague (1-touch dialing)
Summary: This phone has everything I want in a cell phone
(silent/vibrate mode, Bluetooth), and nothing I don't need (camera). If I could just figure out how to program the 1-touch dialing feature, this phone would be perfect.
The good: Sleek design,
Easy to use,
Great screen,
Decent picture quality,
Loud speaker for hearing when your phone is ringing,
Speakerphone,
Tons of options in the menu,
Menu is easy to read and set up well,
Good well thought out design.
The bad: No ring&vib option,
Small number keys ( Not that big of a deal).
Summary: I have had this phone for only a couple of days but I am wondering how I was without it. It is so sleek looking, everybody stares at it when i walk to work. I love the touch keypad which was a lot easier to use than I expected. The speakerphone is so handy, I sound like a dork but it is the first time i have had a phone with it so I am going crazy with the speakerphone. I am so pleased with the phone that I would definitly recommend it to any body. I will absolutely get another version of this phone when it comes out (after my three year is up).

I LOVE IT!!!!!
The good: Size, Pics, Speaker, MP3 player! Front MP3 options,
The bad: Occasional echo..but helps if you lower your earpiece volume
Summary: Great Phone, I love it. I just wish it was a little thinner, although its still a good size. Great quality phone.
The good: Just about everything
The bad: Can't seem to find the tone alert to remind me that I have a voicemail or a call.
Summary: All I can say is that it is very sexy and serious looking at the same time. Very nice to hold up to your ear for a long time. Very bad manual though...call quality is excellent!
The good: Wide-range coverage, My Circle, Free Mobile-to-Mobile and Mobile-to-Home, Nights/Weekends begin at 7PM, awesome phone choices, variety of minutes packages, terrific customer service!
The bad: Can't think of any!
Summary: I've had Alltel for 6+ years now and wouldn't dream of switching. Every time I shop around (because that's the wise thing to do), I either don't find anything better, or Alltel sweetens the deal by matching a competitor's offer. What's not to love?
The good: Excellent customer service, very helpful, reliable, clear calls, no dropped calls
The bad: none that I have experienced
Summary: Before coming to Cingular I had Nextel and the service at Nextel was wonderful until they merged with Sprint and it was downhill. All kinds of dropped calls etc. I have been with Cingular for nearly two years and I have had zero dropped calls and customer service is excellent. I recommend them highly and have no complaints at all with the service. I have excellent reception whether in my home or traveling the rural countryside. This is the best phone service I have ever had and that includes prior service with Verizon as well.
The good: Nice design, love the rubber-edged case & lighting features
The bad: This is the 3rd phone for me already, having had it replaced twice in the 2 months since purchase. When not on speaker, the sound quality often is muffled and cuts in & out. It has happened with all three of them. Is this a problem for any of you? I'm so disgusted, I'm begging Verizon to replace this for me with a different model, as I think this is a design flaw in the earpiece. Usually I've been much happier with Motorola than the LG.
Another con is that the contact list will not allow
Summary: I would not recommend this phone due to the sound problems. If this could be fixed and the contact list options upgraded, it would be a great phone.
The good: QWERTY Keyboard is nice and very easy to use. Keys look to close together but it is an eas adjustment. Very nice screen. Rubber backing is nice and the phone feels very solid. The USB connector is covered by a small rubber plug to protect it. WiFi and Bluetooth works well and easy to set up.
The bad: Screen smudges easily, so invest in a screen protector. Volume touchpad is too sensitve during calls, best to just set volume level and disable touch keys. Homescreen are a little hard to find online, because of landscape screen.
Summary: This phone is super easy to use and I love the style and design of it. It fits very well in the hand. I will say that battery lie is not bad once you tweak various settings but it can be downright horrible if you use wifi or bluetooth together. Overall I am extremely pleased with this phone and i would recommend it to anyone!!!
The good: Network Service is good in my area, and it's very affordable.
The bad: Phones do seem to be low quality, and are overpriced. Many phones will not charge their batteries while in use, nor can they be powered by the adapter!!! No rewards for being a loyal customer. They only like new ones.
Summary: The service in my area is WAY better than Cingular (Not surprising, I know. Cingular stinks!). Dropped calls are virtually non-exsistant. Phones are kind of junky, and many cannot be powered, nor will they recharge while a call is progress. The battery life on the cheaper phones is truly pathetic, and the phone will actually die, and power off while the charger is connected! I can't stress this enough, the charger will not power the phone, or charge the battery while it is in use (in a call), you have to hang up for the charging to resume! Plugging in the charger to keep talking does not work! If the phone is charging, and you answer a call, the charging will be suspended and the phone will start dying, until you hang up. I just bought a new Slider Remix, the salesman told me that it would charge while in use, but guess what, it won't! I believe this is by design to prevent people from using those unlimmited minutes. Truth is, many of these phones do in fact limit your minutes through crappy battery life, and charging circuits that are disabled while the phone is in use. My phones are constantly going dead! (I did own a Motorola model a while back that did NOT have this problem, but the charging jack broke!)
The good: It saves lives, Its sleek and stylish
The bad: The screen is too bright sometimes, bad reception
Summary: THis is overall a great phone, The only bad things are that it gets bad reception and the screen adjusts itself.
i bought this mda 6 months ago i am very happy i use it more for tax messaging and internet browser then talking on cell i did buy a differnt battery and it does last 7 hours i hear thats pretty good for a smart phone
