Earlier this week, Google teased the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 and said that they'll be launching this fall. Now we've got a more specific launch date.
The Google France blog post announcing the Pixel 4a appears to have revealed that pre-orders for the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 will begin on October 8. (via 9to5Google). "The Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5 will be available for pre-order from October 8, 2020¹," the post read.
Google France's blog post has since been updated to remove that date, but it's still visible in the cached version of the page. You can also see screenshots of the Google France blog post and the Google Translate version below.
While Google didn't have anything to say about this leaked date, it's definitely a believable date for Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 pre-orders to start. Google has announced all four Pixel flagships in early October and begun taking pre-orders for them on the same day they were introduced.
Considering all that, it's looking like October 8 will be the date that Google hosts this year's fall hardware event and opens up pre-orders for the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5.
