This week, Google laid out its Pixel release plans for the remainder of the year, including the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 that'll launch this fall. And now we may know what Pixel devices Google has planned for next year, too.

An internal Android document appears to have leaked the existence of four new Pixel devices coming next year. According to 9to5Google, the document lists builds for four devices that are in development: "barbette", "raven", "oriole", and "passport".

The "barbette" device is expected to be the Pixel 5a. It's listed with a launch time frame of "Q2 2021" and a description of "lower end mid year device".

Then there's "raven" and "oriole", which are listed with the timeframe of "Q4 2021" and could be Pixel 6 devices.

Last is "passport", which the document says is a "foldable". It's also listed with the "Q4 2021" timing, suggesting this foldable could launch alongside the Pixel 6 next year. Google actually confirmed last year that it was prototyping a foldable, but didn't have much else to say about it at the time.

There's not much we know about this foldable Pixel right now either, but the news that Google is working on a foldable device is interesting. It's still a very young part of the smartphone market, and so we're definitely intrigued to learn more about what a major company like Google would do with a new foldable phone.

This leaked Android document also says the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 will launch in "October", lining up with what we learned from a Google France blog post yesterday.
