OnePlus's first truly wireless earbuds are now available.
The OnePlus Buds have launched for $79. In the US, they're currently only available in white, but OnePlus will launch a gray version in early August.
OnePlus is also making a special Nord Blue version of the Buds to match the Nord Phone, but like the Nord itself, these blue Buds will only be available in Europe and India.
A highlight feature of the OnePlus Buds is the battery life. The earbuds themselves will get you seven hours of music playback on a single charge, and with the extra charges you get from the included case, you can get up to 30 hours of total listening time before you need to plug back in.
What's more, if you do find your OnePlus Buds are low on battery life before you head out the door, you can charge them for 10 minutes and get 10 hours of listening.
Other features of the OnePlus Buds include three microphones to reduce ambient noise so you can hear your music better. There are 13.4mm dynamic drivers plus bass boost and Dolby Atmos, too. And the Buds also have a touch surface that lets you double tap to perform actions like skipping tracks, playing and pausing, and activating your voice assistant, or press-and-hold for five seconds to answer an incoming call.
OnePlus phone owners can take advantage of Fast Pair to connect their Buds to their phone without having to dive into any Bluetooth settings. And when they're in your ears, the OnePlus Buds can stand up to sweat or rain thanks to their IPX4 rating.
At $79, the OnePlus Buds are some of the lower-cost truly wireless earbuds out there, and they're a good bit cheaper than the models from Apple, Samsung, and Google. So if you're looking to totally cut the wires but you'd like to do it in a more affordable way, the OnePlus Buds could be worth a look.
