Samsung has long offered a Galaxy upgrade program that let you trade in your existing device for a new one after 12 months, but today the upgrade program is getting an upgrade.
Samsung Access is a new subscription that'll get you a Galaxy S20 series device plus premium support and Microsoft benefits. Those who sign up for Samsung Access can get a Galaxy S20, S20+, or S20 Ultra plus 1TB of OneDrive Cloud storage, Microsoft 365 Personal with access to apps like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on your phone and computer, and Samsung Premium Care with 24/7 support, an extended warranty, and accidental damage coverage.
With this program, the Galaxy S20 will cost $37 per month, the Galaxy S20+ will be $42 per month, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra will cost $48 per month. Your phone ships unlocked and works with any carrier's SIM card.
After you've been enrolled in Samsung Access for 9 months, you can upgrade to another device. You've also got the option to upgrade earlier for $100.
You can also cancel Samsung Access at any time. If you don't want to wait that long, you can cancel earlier if you pay $100. You'll lose your benefits when you cancel Samsung Access but you'll continue to make monthly payments for the Galaxy phone itself.
If you regularly use Microsoft apps, this Samsung Access program looks like it could be a pretty good deal. A Microsoft 365 Personal subscription normally costs $69.99 per year while 1TB of OneDrive Cloud storage is normally $6.99 per month. Plus, you'll know that you can upgrade to a new Galaxy flagship when it's released for no extra fee.
