Less than two weeks after unleashing iOS 13.5, Apple has begun rolling out another software update to iPhone and iPad owners.
iOS 13.5.1 and iPadOS 13.5.1 are now available for download. To get the update, just grab your device, launch the Settings app, and then tap on "General" followed by "Software Update".
This new update is a bit smaller than the iOS 13.5 release and appears to be focused on security rather than adding new features. Apple says that iOS 13.5.1 and iPadOS 13.5.1 "provides important security updates".
Also rolling out is an update to watchOS 6.2.6. Like the new iOS update, this watchOS release "provides important security updates" for the Apple Watch.
UPDATE: Apple's security document for the iOS 13.5.1 and iPadOS 13.5.1 updates say that they patch an issue where "an application may be able to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges". This closes the vulnerability used for the recently released unc0ver jailbreak.
