One of the most common complaints about Spotify is that the streaming service limits you to 10,000 saved songs in your library. Today that limit is finally going away.
Spotify is eliminating the 10,000 item limit for users' libraries, meaning you can save and save and save without having to remove songs to make room new ones. Previously when you hit the 10,000 limit, you'd get an error message saying "Epic collection, friend. There's no more room in Your Library. To save More, you'll need to remove some songs or albums," but Spotify users with big libraries won't have to worry about getting that message.
This no limit library is still in the process of rolling out to all Spotify users, so if you're still capped at 10,000 items, you should have that limit lifted soon.
Also of note is that there are still a couple of limits to saving items in Spotify. You can only save up to 10,000 items in a single playlist, and Spotify says you can only download up to 10,000 songs on 5 different devices for offline listening.
It's great to see Spotify finally lifting the 10,000 item limit for users' libraries. The suggestion has gotten more than 12,500 votes in Spotify's Community Ideas Exchange forum, with many folks frustrated that there's a limit to how many songs they can save just to have quicker access to. Now that limit is going away, giving Spotify users easy access to the music they love no matter how many songs that is.
