One month after Quibi first confirmed that it was working to allow users to beam shows from their phone to their TV, that feature has begun rolling out.
The latest update to Quibi for iOS lets you use AirPlay to push shows from your iPhone to your TV. The feature is part of Quibi version 1.3.0 and it's now available in the App Store.
For Android users, Quibi's Tom Conrad said that the company is working to enable Chromecast support in June.
Sure we designed Quibi for on-the-go, but these days visiting the family room is like a day trip… so AirPlay support is live for iOS in Quibi 1.3. Working hard on Chromecast too which will be available in June.

Quibi was designed for watching shows and movies on your phone while you're on the go. Not only are the shows all 10 minutes or less, but one of the main features of Quibi, called Turnstyle, lets you switch your phone between portrait and landscape orientation at any time to get different views of the action.
The ongoing coronavirus pandemic means a lot of people are staying home pretty much all day, though, which means that they've got access to their TV that's probably got a much bigger screen than their phone. That could make it hard to convince some people to watch something that's only available on their phone, which is why Quibi hurried out the ability to push shows from your phone to your TV.
