OnePlus continued its steady slow drip of info about the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro today by teasing the design of its upcoming smartphones.
With the OnePlus 8 series, OnePlus touts that it's using its fifth generation of matte-frosted glass. This has a 64-82% degree of haze, up from 40-60% in the fourth generation. OnePlus explains that this results in an "unprecedented smooth and fine texture".
The back of the 3D curved glass on the back of the OnePlus 8 series has a flatter center to give a cleaner look when light reflects off it. The sides have curved glass to give a more comfortable grip, and OnePlus has worked to give the phones a thinner profile and lighter weight to make them comfortable to hold.
These design sketches shared by OnePlus appear to show a couple other features of the OnePlus 8 series. Those include a USB-C port and the alert slider on the side of the phones that we've seen on previous OnePlus devices.
OnePlus today also teased its new color: Glacial Green. It looks sort of like a seafoam green, and it's a pretty attractive hue that we don't see much of on other smartphones.
The OnePlus 8 series will be fully revealed on April 14th.
