With less than one week to go, some important details of the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro have leaked out.
The full spec lists for both of OnePlus's upcoming flagships have leaked out as well as their pricing. According to WinFuture, the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will share many specs, including a Snapdragon 865 processor and 16MP selfie camera. Both are expected to have 8/12GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage, too, plus in-display fingerprint sensors and face unlock.
The OnePlus 8 Pro will reportedly have a larger 6.78-inch Fluid AMOLED display with 3168x1440 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 8 will have a slightly smaller 6.55-inch 2400x1080 Fluid AMOLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate.
Another area where the two new OnePlus phones will differ are their rear cameras. It's said that the OnePlus 8 Pro will have a quad rear camera setup that includes a 48MP Sony IMX689 main sensor with f/1.78 aperture as well as OIS and EIS, plus a 48MP ultra wide cam with 120-degree field of view, 8MP telephoto camera, and 5MP color filter.
Meanwhile, the regular OnePlus 8 will reportedly have a triple rear camera setup that includes a 48MP main cam with Sony IMX586 sensor as well as OIS and EIS, a 16MP ultra-wide camera with 116-degree field of view, and a 2MP macro camera.
Today's report says that the OnePlus 8 Pro will have a 4510mAh battery along with 30W fast wired charging, 30W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. The OnePlus 8 is expected to get a 4300mAh battery with 30W fast wired charging but no wireless charging.
Finally, it's said that the OnePlus 8 Pro will include an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, which would make it the first OnePlus phone to have an official IP rating.
In other OnePlus 8 news, the folks at WinFuture spotted product pages for both the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro on the site for Czech retailer Alza. The page has since been pulled down, but not before possible European prices were spotted:
While you shouldn't just translate those prices into your own currency and assume that that's what the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will cost for you, these leaked prices do give us an idea of what the new OnePlus flagships could cost when they launch. To compare, the OnePlus 7T that launched last year started at €579/589 while the OnePlus 7T Pro started at €759/769.
OnePlus has said that adopting 5G "does add costs", and it's been expected that the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro would be pricier than the phones that came before them. If the 8 and 8 Pro do end up being a bit pricier than you'd like, rumors say that there's also a new device called the OnePlus Z coming that's expected to be a follow-up to the affordable OnePlus X.
OnePlus will officially reveal the 8 and 8 Pro on April 14th.
