Android 10 is now making its way to another high-profile 2019 flagship.
The LG G8 ThinQ is now receiving its Android 10 update on Verizon and Sprint in the U.S. Sprint users on Reddit actually began getting Android 10 around a week ago, and Droid-Life noticed that Verizon began pushing the update to its LG G8 today.
The update to Android 10 is a biggie. There's a system-wide Night Mode that'll give your LG apps a dark theme so that you won't be blinded by a bright white screen in the dark, and there are updated navigation gestures, including the ability to lower the screen for better one-handed use by swiping in from the left or right edge of the screen and holding.
LG has also made some UI changes with this update, like rearranging the buttons on the call-ended screen and showing attachments horizontally in your messages app. Digital Wellbeing and Parental Controls have been added with this update, and you can now adjust the media volume on an app-by-app basis, too.
If you've got a Sprint LG G8, you'll want to look for an update to version G820U20d, while Verizon LG G8 owners are getting version G820UM20a. LG G8 owners on Sprint and Verizon who haven't updated yet can manually check for their helping of Android 10 by going into Settings > About Phone > Software updates > Check for Update.
