Verizon's 5G network is growing again next week.
Verizon today confirmed that its mobile 5G coverage will go live in New York City on September 26. The service will be available in "parts" of NYC to start, including uptown, downtown, midtown, Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Queens.
New York City is the 11th city to get Verizon 5G coverage. The other cities include Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Providence, St. Paul, and Washington, D.C.
In total, Verizon plans to bring 5G to more than 30 cities in 2019. Other cities that've been confirmed to get Verizon 5G include Boston, Cincinnati, Charlotte, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Des Moines, Kansas City, Houston, Little Rock, Memphis, Salt Lake City, and San Diego. Timings for those launches haven't been given, though.
