Google Go has been around since 2017, but since then it's only be available in select markets and on Android (Go edition) phones. That's changing today.
Google Go is now available worldwide. To get it, you just need an Android device running Lollipop or higher.
As an Android (Go edition) app, Google Go is meant to be lightweight both in size and data consumption. It's just over 7MB in size, and Google says that search results are optimized to save up to 40 percent data.
The Google Go app helps you search the web and can read web pages to you. You can use it to search for images and GIFs to share with your friends, too. Google Lens functionality is baked in as well, meaning you can point your phone's camera at a sign or form that's in another language and have it translated for you on the spot.
