Nearly one year after OnePlus confirmed plans to launch a smart TV, we may finally be getting the first details about the upcoming television.
Product listings over at the Bluetooth SIG appear to have spilled a few details about the upcoming OnePlus TV. Spotted by MySmartPrice, the listings are for a "Unique android tv" device from OnePlus with the product name "1+ LED TV". The devices are listed as supporting Bluetooth 5.0.
Perhaps the most interesting part of these many Bluetooth SIG listings are the model numbers. They include numbers like "55Q1IN", "75Q2US", and "65Z3CN", which appear to indicate the sizes and countries that the OnePlus TV will be sold in. This suggests that OnePlus's television will be available in 43-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch sizes and that it'll be sold in the U.S., Canada, and India.
OnePlus hasn't confirmed many details about the TV itself. The company has said that it's working on a smart 4K LED TV that'll launch in 2019 and that it's working with an OS partner so that the TV will work as in existing ecosystems. OnePlus has made a name for itself offering high-end Android smartphones at aggressive pricing compared to other flagships, so it'll be interesting to see how OnePlus attacks the smart TV market.
We don't yet know exactly when the OnePlus TV will launch, but now that it's appeared in the Bluetooth SIG database, it's one step closer to release. Does a OnePlus smart 4K LED TV interest you?
