Sprint is officially getting its first OnePlus phone, and when it arrives, it'll have a special feature in tow.

A 5G OnePlus phone is coming to Sprint. There aren't many details available on the device quite yet, but Sprint promises that specs, pricing, and launch info will be shared soon.

So far, we've only seen OnePlus phones sold by one U.S. carrier: T-Mobile. Expanding to Sprint will help get the OnePlus brand in front of more consumers, and the fact that it'll be a 5G phone will also likely help to draw attention to it.

This upcoming device won't be the first 5G phone from OnePlus, as there's a 5G version of the OnePlus 7 Pro on U.K. carrier EE. We don't know if Sprint is getting this OnePlus 7 Pro 5G or if it'll be getting an entirely new 5G phone from OnePlus, like a OnePlus 7T Pro 5G, but stay tuned and we'll update you with more as we get it.
