After quietly being revealed in an AT&T promo video earlier this week, the Samsung Galaxy View 2 is now available for purchase.
You can buy the Galaxy View 2 from AT&T for $37.00 per month for 20 months or $739.99 full retail. The AT&T tablet is also available for purchase from Samsung at a price of $61.67 per month or $739.99 full retail.
The highlight feature of the Galaxy View 2 is its massive 17.3-inch 1920x1080 display, which will give you a large, portable screen for watching video around the house. It's also got four speakers with Dolby Atmos support to make watching shows and movies on the tablet even better.
Samsung has also equipped the Galaxy View 2 with a 5MP camera for video calls. Inside there's a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7884 processor paired with 3GB of RAM, and there's 64GB of storage built-in along with a microSD card slot that'll let you add more storage. A 12,000mAh battery powers the whole package, and there are 3.5mm and USB-C ports included. On the software side, the Galaxy View 2 comes with Android Oreo.
With its huge screen, the Galaxy View 2 isn't the most portable device around, but it could be a great option for watching shows in places around your home where there's no TV. For example, you could take it with you outside to watch a TV show on a patio. If you do decide to take the Galaxy View 2 outside, though, the built-in LTE will let you stream videos wherever you go.
