One day after images of the rumored Samsung Galaxy View 2 leaked out, the large tablet has been officially announced by AT&T.
AT&T today published a Galaxy View 2 video on its YouTube channel, confirming its existence along with some of the tablet's specs. The Galaxy View 2 features a 17.3-inch full HD touchscreen, which is a bit smaller than the 18.4-inch display on the original Galaxy View. There are four speakers with Dolby Atmos, too, making the Galaxy View 2 a good option if your main tablet use is watching videos.
The Galaxy View 2 is also equipped with 64GB of built-in storage and a microSD card slot if you'd like to add more storage. There's a front camera for video calling, and you can use AT&T's NumberSync service to sync your main phone number, allowing you to take voice calls on the Galaxy View 2.
Other features of the Galaxy View 2 include 4G LTE connectivity and TV Mode, a feature that'll help you quickly jump into AT&T's DirecTV Now video streaming service.
Unfortunately, AT&T's promo video is missing two important details: the Galaxy View 2's launch date and price. Hopefully now that AT&T is promoting the giant Samsung tablet on its YouTube channel, we'll get those availability details soon.
