Verizon recently launched a new unlimited data plan, but not all VZW customers will be switching to it. For those sticking to a tiered plan, Verizon today announced a new perk for you.
Verizon customers on limited data plans can now stream video using the Verizon Fios Mobile app without using their data. You’ll need to be a Fios Internet and TV subscriber to get this feature, but if you are, you’ll be able to stream live and recorded shows data-free.
This data-free streaming feature is available to customers on Verizon’s 5GB, S, M, and L rate plans.
Verizon also notes that it’s still running its deal that’ll get you up to $500 in gift cards and service credits. Fios customers can get a $250 Verizon Wireless bill credit for activating new service on a Verizon Unlimited plan, while Verizon Wireless customers can get a $250 Verizon gift card when signing up for Fios TV, internet, and phone on a two-year agreement.
