The Samsung Galaxy S8 is sure to be one of the biggest phones of 2017, and so it’s no surprise that the rumor mill keeps trying to reveal details about the device ahead of its official reveal.
The latest report includes several renders of what’s said to be the Samsung Galaxy S8. These images, which come from @OnLeaks and Gear India, are based on factory CADs and claim to show both versions of the Galaxy S8: one with a 5.8-inch display and one with a 6.2-inch screen.
Both phones look fairly similar, sporting curved edge screens, USB Type-C ports, and 3.5mm headphone jacks. Also expected to be included with both Galaxy S8 phones is a 12-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a microSD slot. The smaller GS8 will reportedly have a 3000mAh battery, while the larger model is expected to have a 3500mAh battery.
There are a couple of other details worth noting about the design of these phones. The fingerprint reader that’s been present on the front of recent Galaxy S phones has been moved to the back of the Galaxy S8, to the right of the rear camera. Also, there’s a button on the right of the phones that’s said to be dedicated to activating Bixby, rumored to be Samsung’s new digital assistant that’ll compete with Apple’s Siri and Google’s Assistant.
It’s rumored that Samsung will officially announce the Galaxy S8 on March 29.
