Big news for the ZTE Axon 7 today, as it’s getting a major update with some big new features.
The ZTE Axon 7 is now receiving its Android Nougat update. Included in the update are goodies like the ability to run two apps simultaneously, new emojis, improved Doze mode for battery saving, and more.
As expected, the Nougat update also makes the ZTE Axon 7 a Google Daydream phone. That means that Axon 7 owners can now pick up a Daydream View headset and experience Google’s virtual reality platform.
ZTE also announced today that it’s partnering with Hiya to integrate caller ID, spam detection, and call blocking into the Axon 7. This functionality is also rolling out to the ZTE Axon 7 today.
The ZTE Axon 7’s Nougat update is a pretty big one. Not only does it bring the Axon 7 up to the latest and greatest major Android release, but it adds in Daydream VR support, a feature that only a handful of other phones can boast about. With this update, the Axon 7 has again become an interesting option for folks in the market for an affordable Android device.
