With just a couple of days to go before Google and LG’s Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches are expected to debut, the leaks of both devices continue to flow.
First up, some photos that claim to show the packaging of the LG Watch Style have leaked. The photos show the front of the Watch Style that looks similar to the images that’ve previously leaked, and the front of the box also read “Designed with our friends at Google.”
Today’s second leak comes to us straight from LG. It appears that LG uploaded user guides for both the AT&T version of the LG Watch Sport (model number LG-W280A) and the LG Watch Style (model number LG-W270).
These user guides include images of the watches, though they aren’t exactly detailed, and they also confirm some of the rumored features. Both watches do indeed include rotating digital crowns that you’ll use to navigate the Android Wear 2.0 software, and the LG Watch Sport includes two additional side buttons for launching additional apps.
The LG Watch Sport also includes NFC for Android Pay support and a SIM card for cellular connectivity. The Watch Sport will also include a heart rate sensor, barometer, and a charging cradle. The LG Watch Style is much less feature-packed, offering just a digital crown and no NFC or cellular connectivity, but it will come with a small charging pad.
Both watches are rumored to be making their official debut on February 8, and while nothing is official until Google and LG say it is, today’s two leaks do suggest that a launch is close.
