In the weeks leading up to the Moto Z’s official debut, details of the phone’s MotoMods modules leaked out, including a Hasselblad camera add-on. That module didn’t make the official Moto Z launch, but today a new leak is giving us another look at it.
Leaked images are giving us another look at the Hasselblad camera MotoMod for the Moto Z. In one corner, we can see the Hasselblad logo, and the ring around the lens says that the module offers a 10x optical zoom. The module is also expected to offer a flash and dedicated shutter button.
Lenovo hasn’t officially announced this Hasselblad camera module, so it’s unclear when the Moto Z add-on will launch. It’s possible that we could see it made official next month at IFA, though.
A camera module for the Moto Z makes sense. There are already add-ons that give the Moto Z better speakers, a projector, and a battery pack, and so giving the Moto Z a camera module for taking better photos seems like an easy choice for an additional module. After all, lots of people rely on their smartphone for all of their photo-taking needs, so there are likely some Moto Z owners that’d be interested in a module to improve their photos. Now we just have to find out how much it’ll cost to take better photos with this module.
