Chrome users on Android, your video watching experience is about to get much better.
Google has announced the release of Chrome 52 for Android, which brings with it improved video playback. Specifically, videos will load faster and start playing sooner instead of pausing before loading. Power efficiency is improved, too, meaning that your battery should last longer while watching videos.
Additionally, Google says that video now works with Chrome’s Data Saver Mode, enabling you to save as much as 50 percent of your data by showing a “lightweight” version of your video.
These are some major improvements to Chrome on Android. Video is a big part of the web, and not only will Chrome 52 help save you time and battery life so that you can watch more videos, it can also help you conserve data, which is a important when many people are on tiered data plans.
