Wondering which video service might be added to T-Mobile Binge On next? If a new rumor is to be believed, it could be a well-known social network.
According to Recode, T-Mobile and Facebook are working together to make Facebook video compatible with T-Mo’s Binge On service. To work with Binge On, a video service must be able to be identified by T-Mobile so that they can optimize the stream to DVD quality. Both T-Mo and Facebook are said to be currently working on the effort.
There’s no word when Facebook might officially be added to Binge On, but whenever it happens, it’ll be a big deal for both companies. Facebook has been pushing its video streaming features hard recently, and enabling T-Mobile customers to stream video without using their high-speed data could cause them to watch more video on Facebook than they did before. Meanwhile, T-Mobile would get to grow its Binge On roster with a major name.
How often do you watch video on Facebook?
