Earlier this week, popular Twitter app Fenix was pulled from the Play Store after hitting its 100,000 user token limit. It was expected that the app would no longer accept new users and that developer mvilla wouldn’t be able to make any more money off of it. Turns out that that’s not the case, though.
Fenix is now back on Google Play, mvilla just announced, meaning that anyone that hasn’t installed the app in the past again have the chance to give it a try. When asked how this happened, mvilla said that he’s “been in contact with the Twitter team and they’ve helped to fix the issue.” Unfortunately, that’s all the information that he can share on the matter.

Fenix is one of the most popular third-party Twitter apps on Android, so a lot of folks were disappointed when the app recently hit its token limit, both because no new users could be accepted and because the dev could no longer make money for his hard work. Now Fenix has been reinstated thanks to some help from Twitter, and while it seems like Twitter may have increased Fenix’s token limit after all of the news about Fenix getting pulled, we may not ever know for sure what Twitter did for mvilla. Whatever it was, it’s just good to see Fenix back on Google Play’s virtual shelves.
