Earlier this week, we got wind of an upcoming T-Mobile offer that’d give you a Galaxy S7 or S7 edge for free when you buy one. Now that deal is officially official.
T-Mobile says that it’ll give you a Galaxy S7 or S7 edge for free when you buy one and add a new line. As you might expect, there’s some fine print to be aware of. Both phones must be purchased on an Equipment Installment Plan, on which the the GS7 will cost $0 down and 24 payments of $27.92 ($669.99 total), while the GS7 edge will be $59.99 down and 24 payments of $30 ($779.99). Your free phone will be the lesser-priced model, and to cover the cost of the device, you’ll get a prepaid MasterCard debit card.
The good news is that if you’ve already pre-ordered a Galaxy S7 or S7 edge, you can still qualify for this deal. Just keep in mind that both phones do need to be purchased on an Equipment Installment Plan.
It’s also worth mentioning that families can take advantage of this BOGO deal as well, though there is a limit of two free devices per family. Other pieces of fine print worth noting include the fact that you can mix and match devices if you’d like and that the BOGO offer isn’t available in Connecticut, Rhode Island, or Miami-Dade County.
Finally, T-Mobile also notes that it’s still offering a free Gear VR and year of Netflix with Galaxy S7 or S7 edge purchase, which will be available through March 18.
The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are two brand new flagships — they haven’t even been released as of this writing — so being able to get one free with the purchase of another is a pretty nice deal. You will have to buy both on EIP and add a new line for the free phone, but if you can meet those two criteria, T-Mobile’s BOGO deal may be worth considering.
