One week after Apple pushed out the fourth beta updates for iOS 9.3, watchOS 2.2, and tvOS 9.2, the Cupertino firm has unleashed another batch of updates.
Apple has released iOS 9.3 beta 5, watchOS 2.2 beta 5, and tvOS 9.2 beta 5. Also rolling out today is iOS 9.3 Public Beta 5, so regular folks in the Apple Beta Software Program are getting in on the update fun today, too. If you’re interested in the new build numbers, iOS 9.3 beta 5 is build 13E5225a, watchOS 2.2 beta 5 is 13V5141a, and tvOS 9.2 beta 5 is 13Y5220c.
As for what’s included in these new betas, the most notable inclusion is the return of Apple Pencil navigation support. In past iOS 9.3 betas, Apple had removed the ability to use the Apple Pencil to navigate through iOS, but following user backlash, Apple has brought the feature back in iOS 9.3 beta 5. The update also tweaks the Night Shift toggle in Control Center.
iOS 9.3 also includes Night Shift, a feature that’ll automatically give your display a warmer hue that’ll be easier on your eyes during nighttime use. The update will also bring improved Notes and Health apps, 3D Touch support for more Apple apps, multi-user support for education, and more. Apple hasn’t said when it’ll begin pushing iOS 9.3, watchOS 2.2, or tvOS 9.2 to the public, but with an Apple event rumored for March 21, we could see the official push begin then.
