HTC is one company that didn’t unveil a new flagship smartphone at MWC 2016, but today they’ve teased a device that could very well be their next flagship.
HTC’s official Twitter account today shared the image you see above, which appears to show the corner of a device with chamfered edges. The image also includes the hashtag #powerof10.
It appears as though HTC is using this image to tease its next flagship Android phone. Not only has it been nearly one year since the HTC One M9’s debut, but if HTC follows the naming scheme that it’s used for its past few flagship One phones, the next device would be the M10. There have been a couple of photo leaks that claim to show HTC’s One M10, but they both showed the front of the device, meaning that we wouldn’t be able to see if its backside has angled edges like the device in HTC’s teaser image. However, an image claiming to show the rear of the One M10 did recently surface that shows the back of a device with chamfered edges.
It’s rumored that the One M10 will include a 5.1-inch 2560x1440 display, Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, a microSD slot, and a 12-UltraPixel rear camera. Interestingly, it’s said that the phone won’t have any BoomSound front-facing speakers like the One M7, M8, and M9 did.
