Fire up your Settings app, Windows 10 Mobile Insiders, because it’s time once again to install an update.
Microsoft is now pushing Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview build 10586.63 to testers. The update actually began appearing only select users earlier today, and MSFT’s Gabe Aul explains that an issue with the update was detected when it was staging on Microsoft’s deployment servers. Since it was on those servers, some users were able to detect the update before Microsoft paused the rollout to investigate the bug.
The issue has apparently been taking care of, as Aul says that Microsoft is resuming the 10586.63 update’s rollout to members of the Fast Ring in the Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview. As for what’s included, Aul says that there are no new features, just targeted bug fixes.
It was only recently that Microsoft unleashed Windows 10 Mobile onto the public, and so it’s no surprise that the company is currently pushing out updates that are focused on fixing bugs. It wants to make sure that it takes care of any issues that are discovered as W10M rolls out to a wider audience, especially with new W10M phones like the Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL and Acer Liquid Jade Primo on the horizon.
If you’re a member of the Fast Ring in Microsoft’s Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview, go into Settings > Update & security > Phone update to see if 10586.63 is waiting for you.
