Looks like iOS users aren’t the only ones that get to play with some new beta software today.

Microsoft is now pushing Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview build 10586 to users in the Fast Ring. There are several bug fixes included in this update, like less resuming/loading text when switching apps and a patch that’ll make your phone’s physical camera button work again if it stopped working before.

Here’s Microsoft’s lists of things that it fixed in build 10586:

• We have fixed the issue that caused the Start experience to become corrupted (garbled) after upgrading and restoring a backup from a phone that had a different resolution.
• You should now be able to set your default save locations via Settings > System > Storage and it will correctly reflect the current storage settings. Your SD card should no longer show up as a garbled name in Storage settings either.
• Moving apps to a SD card should no longer cause those apps to crash.
• We’ve made improvements to the Messaging + Skype app – through both app updates via the Store and also on the server side.
• This should be seeing less resuming/loading text when switching apps.
• The physical camera button should be working again if it wasn’t working for you before.
• Apps and games should download from the Store more reliably.

The company does note that there’s an issue that folks on build 10581 should note. With that previous build, there’s a bug that can cause the phone’s file system to become partially corrupted after a factory reset. When upgrading to build 10586, this bug can cause your phone to go into a reboot loop. You can reset your phone with this key combination if you do get stuck in the reboot loop, but that’ll leave you at the out of box experience on build 10586. As a result, Microsoft says that you should perform a backup of your phone right before you upgrade to 10586.

Other issues with 10586 include the inability to deploy Silverlight apps through Visual Studio to your phone, and a bug that’ll cause the Insider Hub to not open. As a result, there’s no Insider Hub in build 10586.

Windows Central notes that this new 10586 build is the same one that’s currently on Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL units that are shipping to consumers. That means that it should be pretty usable, so Windows Insider folk should probably upgrade to build 10586 as soon as you can. To do so, head into Settings > Update & security > Phone update.

Microsoft hasn’t yet announced exactly when it’ll begin pushing Windows 10 Mobile updates to Windows Phone devices that are out in the wild. Now that it’s released its first Windows 10 Mobile devices to the public, though, hopefully the updates aren’t too far off.
