Google has long offered a beta version of Chrome for Android (and desktop platforms), and there’s even a Dev version of Chrome for Android for folks that like to try new features even earlier in their development process. On iOS, users have only had one version of Chrome, but that’s changing now.

Google is now offering a beta version of Chrome on iOS. The app will let you try features before they’re released to the public version of Chrome. The initial Chrome Beta on IOS includes support for more Bluetooth keyboard shortcuts as well as 3D Touch support, a feature on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. With 3D Touch, you can launch a voice search, a new incognito tab, or a new regular tab from the iOS home screen.

This Chrome for iOS beta isn’t available in the regular App Store. To get it, you’ll need to head to Chrome’s beta site on your iOS device, then share and confirm your email address. You’ll then have to wait for an email from Google with a link to download the app itself. You’ll also need to grab Apple’s TestFlight app from the App Store, which is used to install and update beta apps.

Because you need to jump through a few hoops to get this Chrome for iOS beta, and because the regular Chrome for iOS is still in the App Store, this beta app isn’t going to be something that every iOS user installs. It’s nice to see Google finally extend a Chrome beta to iOS users, though, giving folks that like to live on the edge a new app to beta test.
