Following Verizon's push of updates to its Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+ and Note 5 that enabled support for Samsung Pay, the app itself is now live on Google Play for those folks to download.
The Samsung Pay app is officially live in Google Play, enabling supported devices to install and/or update the app through Google’s app store. To install the app, you’ll need one of the four supported devices — S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+, or Note 5 — and you’ll need to have gotten it from AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, or Verizon.
The arrival of Samsung Pay in the Google Play store is notable for a couple of reasons. Not only does it mean that Verizon customers with a compatible device can finally download Samsung Pay, but it also means that Samsung can update the Samsung Pay app through Google Play and roll those updates out to all users through the Google Play app rather than pushing out packing them into full-on phone updates.
The Samsung Pay app can be found at the link below. As I said before, you’ll need an S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+, or Note 5 from AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, or Verizon to actually use it. The rest of us, well, we can look at the app icon.
