Phone leasing programs are all the rage nowadays, and today ZTE announced one of its own.
ZTE’s got a new lease-to-own payment program that’ll let you easily pay for devices like the Axon Pro, the Spro 2, and other devices. After you select your device, you can get immediate approval and then make your first payment (anywhere between $0 and 25 percent of your lease amount) at checkout. After that, you’ll continue to make monthly payments for 6 to 24 months. The length of your payments will be determined when you apply.
Once you make all of the payments, the device will be paid off and yours to keep. If you’d like, you can pay off the lease early, though you’ll pay a buyout fee of anywhere between 3.5 and 20 percent. And if you decide that you no longer want the device that you’re paying for, you can turn it in and be done with it, so long as your up-to-date on your payments.
While the Axon Pro is considered an affordable flagship, its $450 isn’t exactly cheap. ZTE’s lease-to-own option puts devices like the Axon Pro within the reach of more people, though it sounds like the program could end up being a bit pricier than buying a device outright. If you can’t afford to pony up hundreds of dollars at once, though, ZTE’s program is another option.
ZTE’s lease-to-own plan will launch “soon.”
