Just a few days after the FCC posted images of an unannounced OnePlus phone, China’s version of that agency has done the same thing.
Images of a mysterious OnePlus phone have been posted by TENAA, the Chinese agency that certifies smartphones for use in that country. The phone in the photos is clearly sporting OnePlus branding, and like the device that the FCC leaked, it’s got an off-center rear camera and a switch on its side. Looking at the front of the phone, we can faintly see what appears to be some capacitive buttons from Home, Back, and Recent Apps.
The TENAA listing also includes some of the OnePlus phone’s spec details. According to the entry, this “One E1001” device measures 140.0 x 69.0 x 6.9mm. To compare, the OnePlus 2 is 151.8 x 74.9 x 9.85mm. TENAA also says that this OnePlus “One E1001” has a 5-inch display and a 2450mAh battery.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau previously teased that his company is prepping a second new device for 2015 — the first is the OnePlus 2 — that’ll be on the affordable side of the price spectrum. Considering its look and purported specs, it’s looking like that this mysterious OnePlus phone that we’ve seen twice in 1 week now could be that affordable phone. Unfortunately, most of its details still aren’t available, but if it is indeed coming by the end of 2015, we should get an announcement from OnePlus sometime soon.
