Today’s the day, folks: The OnePlus 2 is officially available to all without an invite. The catch is that the open sale will only last for 1 hour. The open sales periods in Asia and Europe have already taken place, and now folks in North America will have the opportunity to buy a OnePlus 2 without an invite for one hour. Here’s to hoping that OnePlus’s site holds up. You can hit up OnePlus's store right here.
The OnePlus 2 is the new flagship Android smartphone from OnePlus, offering features like a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 display, 16/64GB of storage, 3/4GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 810 processor, fingerprint reader, and 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras. The OP2 runs Android 5.1 beneath OnePlus’s custom OxygenOS software, and pricing is set at $329 for the 16GB/3GB model or $389 for the 64GB/4GB variant.
In other OnePlus news, the company held an event in India today, just as expected. There was no new hardware announced, though. Instead, the company said that it is partnering with Foxconn to begin producing hardware in India as part of the Make In India initiative to bring manufacturing to India.
