The Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 has become one of the surprise hits of 2015, offering a solid design and respectable feature set for $250. Now Alcatel OneTouch is building on that success with a more colorful Idol 3.
The Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3C features a spec list similar to the 5.5-inch Idol 3, but as you might’ve guessed from the “C” tacked onto the end of its name, the Idol 3 comes in several bright colors. Alcatel OneTouch will offer the Idol 3C in white, red, green, pink, and yellow. These covers are exchangeable, so you can swap ‘em out as you see fit.
Outside of its colorful new duds, the Idol 3C is similar to the Idol 3. Here’s what its spec list looks like:
The regular Idol 3 is sold in three colors, but they’re metallic gold, silver, and dark grey hues. The Idol 3C’s color options are much brighter and more varied, which could help it appeal to more customers. Also, it was smart for Alcatel OneTouch to make the Idol 3C’s colorful backs swappable, because a lot of folks like customizing their phone and selecting which color it is.
