Earlier this year, rumors suggested that Google might be prepping two Nexus phones this year, one from Huawei and one from LG. Fast-forward to today, and a leak claims to be giving us our first (early) look at the LG device.
@OnLeaks has posted an image that allegedly shows the rear of the LG Nexus, reportedly codenamed “Bullhead.” There’s not a ton of information to be gleaned from the leak, but we can see cutouts for a camera, flash, and a mysterious second circle for a logo or perhaps some other feature (perhaps a fingerprint reader since Android M includes native support for them?). There are also cutouts on the side, presumably for the volume and lock buttons, and large cutout on the bottom that’s likely for a charging port.
After posting the image, @OnLeaks cautioned that the render came from “a case maker based on very early informations,” adding that “things could change until official launch.”
The LG “Bullhead” is rumored to be the smaller of the two 2015 Nexus phones, purportedly coming with a 5.2-inch display, Snapdragon 808 processor, and a 2700mAh battery. While we can’t really confirm any of that using today’s leaked image, the rear cover shown does appear to be for a smaller phone.
